While I do realize that it was a holiday weekend and all, but where was everyone?
SASC had there first event in Fort Macleod yesterday, and Tom and I were the only ones running from LSCC.
Trent and Al both made a brief appearance and Jenn was learning Murry's timing system.(thanks guys)
Was it just to early in the year? I dont know about you but I was dissapointed when it got postponed from the week before!

Everyone missed a great first day, the track was as fast as always in Fort Macleod, the weather couldn't have been better this time of year
and the organisers pulled it all together without a glitch.
80-90+ second runs covering 2km(can you say adrenaline rush) Great job Reijo, Murry and the rest at the SASC. Look forward to seeing you next week!

Thats right guys next event at Fort Macleod airport May 1. I hope to see some more familar faces out there.

PS. For the new people its a great time to learn the ropes both on the course and marshaling. That way when our first event comes we will
have it up and running in no time.

Re: Where were you guys?

Hey, just thought I would put my two cents in, it was an awesome day, couldn't ask for better weather...the timing system is really going to help us when we start our seasons! Its actually quite simple so that's was great. I will ditto Jeff in saying we hope to see more of you out next weekend!!

Re: Where were you guys?

I had to work as well, which sucks as I would have been available for the original date, if only the weather had been better...

Re: Where were you guys?

Don't know where he went, I was dissapointed when he didn't come back after lunch.
Nobody I spoke to could tell me what happened to him.

Certianly is an impressive car. That was the first one I have been able to take a look at up close.
Both Jenn and Jo said they thought it was sounding a little sick waiting to run, but when he started
they both looked at each other and agreed everthing was just fine!
If I was not out on the course working when his class ran, I was going to hit him up for a ride.

Re: Where were you guys?

He was a fella from Calgary....heard of the event through the Stadium Nissan guys I believe (Sam was there - a mechanic at Stadium in his grey/silve 350Z). Sam told me the GTR owner had to leave due to an appointment or family "thing" or some such thing.

And, they do sound great, don't they? And accelerate like mad!

Re: Where were you guys?

After the sweeping right turn on the east end of the course it tucked its rear and hauled ass!
He was moving so quick, I questioned if he was going around any of the elements of the course,
or if he just went all out in a sraight line to the finish!
